A Funny Thing Happened...Classic Comedy & Liveable Lessons is comedy/spoken word album by Christian singer - songwriter Leon Patillo, released by Myrrh/

Word Records. It was released around May of 1986, just a few months after Patillo's vocal album Love Around the World. Patillo wrote in the liner notes on the vinyl's back album cover:

"As I travel across the country singing and performing I generally take time to share a Biblical story (paraphrased of course!) People have often asked where they might find these stories on tape. So with your great encouragement, I have compiled this album. I hope it will help turn your mourning into laughter and cause your days to be filled with joy to the Lord. I've always thought my contribution to the world would be of a more serious nature, but I guess A Funny Thing Happened..."

This was Patillo's only album to be released containing no new music. Just material of spoken word with comedic elements. It was recorded live in concert across the United States. Patillo even thanked Christian comedian Mike Warnke for his inspiration. Patillo wrote the material and produced the album. A Funny Thing Happened... did not chart and is currently out of print. It is not available for digital streaming or for purchasing. This was also Patillo's final album on the Word Records label.
