Carman/Some-O-Dat (1982)

Updated: Apr 17

Carman is the second release and his national debut album by Christian singer - songwriter Carman. It was originally released on February 5, 1982 on Priority Records, a division of CBS Records. The album was reissued a year later in 1983 and retitled Some-O-Dat, named after one of the tracks on the album. An early version of the track appears on his 1980 custom debut release God's Not Finished With Me as "Some A Dat." It features an early version of the 1950s-styled track "Bethlehem." It was later re-recorded as "(A Long Time Ago...in a Land Called) Bethlehem" for his 1986 Christmas album of the same name. Carman wrote all the songs on the album and it was produced by Michael Lloyd. In 1992, Word Records reissued the album as Some-O-Dat on CD but has since been out of print and is not available digitally. A YouTube link to listen to the album is posted below this article.
