Comin' On Strong is the third studio album by Christian singer - songwriter Carman, released on November 6, 1984 on Myrrh/Word Records. The album was produced by Keith Thomas. Carman wrote all the songs on the album. The album's highlight is the Bible story song "Lazarus Come Forth," about the death of Jesus' close friend and Jesus calling his name from death. It is Carman's first Top 20 hit on the Christian radio charts and a concert favorite. Comin' On Strong peaked at number 6 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart in 1985. Carman also released a concert video on VHS entitled Comin' On Strong Live in Concert later in 1985. The concert was shot before a capacity crowd in Orlando, Florida on the final leg of his Spring Tour earlier that year.
