Dance Children Dance (1979)

Dance Children Dance is the debut solo album by Christian singer - songwriter Leon Patillo. It was released on March 1, 1979 by Word Records. It was on the Maranatha! Music label originally and since that label was more focused on the soft pop sounds of the Maranatha! Singers, Patillo's future releases were on the Myrrh Records label. Patillo wrote and produced the album himself.

The title song and "Temple to the Sky" were his first two Christian radio singles and they each open each side on vinyl and cassette tape formats. Dance Children Dance's sound is a mix of disco, R&B/funk, pop and gospel.
