Drummer Boy (EP) (1995)
Drummer Boy is first extended play by the American rock band Jars of Clay, originally released in the fall of 1995 by Essential Records/Brentwood Music.
It was released as a follow-up to their self-titled debut album, due to the success of their breakthrough hit "Flood." The original 1995 EP contained only four tracks:
"Little Drummer Boy" (original and Grinch Mix versions), "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" and an acoustic version of their Jars of Clay track "He."
Drummer Boy was re-issued in 1997 by Silvertone Records, but with a slightly different track listing also with four songs: only "Little Drummer Boy" versions remained intact, "Blind" (Fluffy Sav Mix) and "Wicker Baskets," which is an original instrumental piece recorded during the sessions of their second full-length album Much Afraid. This 1997 EP was reissued after the release of Much Afraid.
Drummer Boy charted in 1995 and peaked on the following Billboard albums charts:
