Evie På Svenska (1972)
Evie På Svenska (translated as Evie in Swedish) is the fourth studio and first Swedish language album by Christian singer Evie. It was released on the Hemmets Härold Records label in 1972. It was Evie's first album to be sung in Swedish and was recorded in Stockholm, Sweden, as her previous Scandinavian releases were sung in Norwegian and recorded in Norway. The only two tracks Evie sing in English on this album are "I Know" and the Andraé Crouch cover "I Don't Know Why Jesus Loves Me," while on the rest of the album she's sing songs in Swedish like the hymn "Förunderlig Nåd" ("Amazing Grace"), "Han Frälste Mig" ("Love Lift Me") and even sings "Take Up Thy Cross and Follow Me" in Swedish as "Tag Korset På." The album was produced by Larseric Janson and musician (and Evie's future husband) Pelle Karlsson.
