First Hand (1987)

First Hand is the debut album by Christian singer - songwriter Steven Curtis Chapman. Released in 1987 and produced by Phil Naish, it is his first album on Sparrow Records. The album produced its first single "Weak Days" and became a Christian radio hit climbing to the Top 10 on the Christian charts. Other multi-format hits followed including "Hiding Place" and "Run Away." First Hand features a blend of country music with soft rock and pop. Chapman's friend and fellow Christian singer Geoff Moore co-wrote the track "Who Cares."
