I Wish is an official compilation album by Christian singer - songwriter Billy Sprague, released on March 21, 1989 by Reunion Records. Covering Sprague's first three albums in five years, it's a collection containing three songs from each album and one brand new track, "I Wish." The title track was written by Sprague and dedicated to the 1988 graduating class of Brentwood Academy. The new track was produced by Wayne Kirkpatrick.
After this release, Sprague took time off from recording and touring, due to the loss of his fiancé Rosalyn Olivares. Olivares was killed in an automobile accident while on the way to see Sprague in concert. Sprague was mourning for her loss and dealing with his grieve at the time. Sprague would not return to music until 1992 for his next album Torn Between Two Worlds.
This was also the last official release from Sprague on the Reunion Records label.
I Wish is out of print and is not available digitally. I compiled a playlist from YouTube containing five songs from the 1999 compilation release Signature Songs and the other five songs are from YouTube user Real 80s CCM. You can listen to it posted below this article.
