No Frills (1987)

No Frills is the fourth studio album by Christian singer - songwriter Paul Smith. It is Smith's second album on DaySpring/Word Records released in the fall of 1987. Once again produced by Keith Thomas, along with Tom Hemby, Smith garnered his first number one song on the Christian CHR chart with "The Right Thing" and the follow-up single "Faithful" would be a radio favorite on the Christian AC chart climbing to number 2. No Frills debuted and peaked at number 24 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart. Ron Hemby, Tom Hemby's brother, provided backing vocals on "Faithful." Ron, at the time, was a co-lead vocalist of Smith's former vocal group The Imperials.
