The Original Demos is a self-released 1992 demo extended play by the Christian alternative rock band Sixpence None the Richer. The band originally issued the four-track demo release on cassette tape. It was recorded in New Braunfels, Texas and was made shortly after guitarist Matt Slocum met lead vocalist Leigh Bingham. Acting as the tape that landed them their first record deal, it captures the raw, formative indie-pop blueprint that eventually evolved into their debut studio album. Three of those tracks ("Spotlight," "The Fatherless and the Widow" and "Trust) were re-recorded for their debut album The Fatherless and the Widow.

The Original Demos was reissued on CD for a limited time around late 1994/early 1995. This version famously combined the fifth track into a continuous medley featuring uncredited live recordings taken from their April 1994 tour supporting 10,000 Maniacs. Two YouTube links to listen to the demo is posted below this article.
