Thirst (1998)

Writer's picture: Joel CaballeroJoel Caballero

Thirst is the 14th studio album by Christian singer - songwriter Randy Stonehill. It was released on April 28, 1998 by Brentwood Records and distributed by Provident Music Distribution. The album was produced by Rick Elias.

Thirst is Stonehill's first new album in four years. The album is more adult contemporary and folk pop. It was Stonehill's second album to be credited under his last name and it was jointly produced with his independent label Street Level

Records. The album cover is illustrated by musician Jimmy Abegg (Jimmy A). Elias plays guitars on the album along with other musicians. Stonehill wrote all the songs on Thirst with some help from songwriters Abegg, Phil Maderia and David Edwards. A limited edition of the CD contains an opening hidden track "In Jesus' Name" (from his 1994 album The Lazarus Heart), a hidden bonus track called "The Keeper of the Bear" and a 10 minute interview. A YouTube link to listen to the album is posted below this article.
