ZOEgirl (2000)

ZOEgirl is the debut album by the Christian girl group ZOEgirl. It was released by Sparrow Records on August 15, 2000.

After the ZOEgirl group was formed, they immediately began to work on their self-titled album at a fast pace. They temporarily separated during the Christmas holidays of 1999 to pray about the album and the message they should record on it. After this, they realized that they wanted to talk about their relationships with God and the romantic relationships that people may face in life. Producers remarked that paper, drafting the debut album's content, was scattered all around the studio. ZOEgirl worked with producers Tedd T., Joey P. and Michael Quinlan to craft their sound.

ZOEgirl released their self-titled debut album by August of 2000 featuring a mix of bubblegum pop with their mainstream pop contemporaries like Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Backstreet Boys and even their Christian boy band

counterpart Plus One. Songs like "I Believe" (their lead single and music video), "Anything Is Possible" and "Living For You" were Christian radio hits. ZOEgirl charted and peaked on the following Billboard albums charts:

Each of the members were all involved with songwriting with at least one member or all three member writing the material for the album. To promote themselves and the album, ZOEgirl embarked on a 45-city summer tour with Christian artists Clay Crosse and Nichole Nordeman in 2000 and in the fall of 2000 to the spring of 2001, they toured with Carman on a 70-city stadium tour.
