And If Our God Is For Us... is the sixth studio album by Christian singer - songwriter

Chris Tomlin, released on November 16, 2010 by sixstepsrecords/Sparrow Records.

Tomlin's long-time producer Ed Cash produced seven tracks and Dan Muckala

produced four tracks.

The album's title comes from the lead single "Our God." It was released to

Christian radio and on streaming platforms back in March 2010 to precede the

album and also serves as the opening track. The lyrics center around God's

unmatched power, miraculous nature, and ultimate protection. The verses

reference Biblical miracles, like turning water into wine and opening the eyes

of the blind. "Our God" was originally included on the 2010 Passion Conference

release Passion: Awakening, a live recording from the Passion 10 gathering.

"Our God" is in the Top 25 on Christian Copyright Licensing International's (CCLI)

list at No. 5. It topped the Billboard Christian music charts on all formats in

July 2010. The song also charted on the Billboard Heatseekers Songs chart

climbing to No. 9. "Our God" was named Worship Song of the Year at the 42nd

GMA Dove Awards in 2011 and was also nominated for Song of the Year. In 2012,

the track was Gold certified and then Platinum certified in 2014 by the Recording

Industry Association of America (RIAA).

"I Will Follow" was released as the second single in September 2010 and climbed

to No. 2 on the Billboard Hot Christian Songs, Christian Airplay and Christian AC

Airplay charts and at No. 14 on the Heatseekers Songs chart. "I Will Follow" was

another Gold-selling single in 2013 and then Platinum ten years later. The third

single "I Lift My Hands" topped the Billboard Hot Christian Songs and Christian

Airplay charts and peaked at number 4 on the Christian AC Airplay chart. Tomlin collected his third Gold single for this track by the RIAA in 2024. And If Our God

Is For Us... was released in two variations: the regular 11-track standard CD and a

limited edition deluxe version on a CD/DVD combo with four additional acoustic

tracks on the audio CD and a DVD containing a behind-the-scenes look at the

making of the album recorded at White Cabin Studio and live performance clips

of "Love" and "I Will Rise" (both tracks are from his 2008 release Hello Love).

And If Our God Is For Us... topped the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart

becoming Tomlin's second No. 1 album and it peaked at No. 17 on the Billboard

200 Albums chart. In April 2012, the album won Praise & Worship Album of the

Year at the 43rd GMA Dove Awards and in September 2012, it was certified

Gold by the RIAA. At the Grammy Awards, Tomlin was nominated for Best

Gospel Song for "Our God" in 2011 and in 2012, "I Lift My Hands" was nominated

for two Grammys for Best Gospel/Contemporary Christian Music Performance

and Best Contemporary Christian Music Song while the album was nominated

for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album.
