Contemporary Christmas Classics is a compilation Christmas album that was released in the fall of 1983 by Myrrh/Word Records. It contains five previously released Christmas tracks by Amy Grant, The Imperials, David Meece, Evie and Morris Chapman and five new tracks recorded just for this album by Chris Christian, Steve Archer, Pat Boone and The Archers with Christian producing the new tracks. Christian's two tracks would later appear in his 1988 Christmas album Thinking of You This Christmas. It is currently out of print and has not been released on CD. NOTE: "Christmas All Year 'Round" features Chris Christian collaborating with recording artist Charlene, who is best known for her 1982 worldwide hit "I've Never Been to Me" (#3 Billboard Hot 100, #7 Billboard AC). She was the first white artist to have a Top 10 hit on the Motown label.
