Heaven in the Real World (1994)

Heaven in the Real World is the sixth studio album by Christian singer - songwriter Steven Curtis Chapman, released on July 5, 1994 by Sparrow Records. The album is produced by Chapman and Phil Naish.

The album continues the success from his previous album The Great Adventure with more hit songs like the title song, "King of the Jungle" and "Dancing with the Dinosaur" all climbing to number one on the Christian radio charts.

Heaven in the Real World topped the Top Christian Albums and made its first appearance on the Billboard 200 Albums chart peaking at number 195.

The album went Gold within six months after it was released and then in 1997 went Platinum selling over a million copies. Chapman won five Dove Awards including Male Vocalist of the Year, Artist of the Year and Songwriter of the Year at the 26th GMA Dove Awards while the album was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album.
