Hey You, I Love Your Soul (1998)

Hey You, I Love Your Soul is the second studio album by the Christian rock band Skillet. It was released on April 21, 1998 by Ardent Records and ForeFront Records.

It was later distributed by INO Records and Sony Music.

This was the band's first charted album on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart where it debuted and peaked at number 25. Their second album has more of an industrial rock sound in the vein of bands like Nine Inch Nails and White Zombie, as heard on the title song and "Take." John Cooper's wife and future member Korey Cooper provides additional backing vocals for Skillet's first Top 10 Christian CHR hit "More Faithful." John and Korey wrote the title song and "Whirlwind" together. In 1999, the band was nominated for two Dove Awards for Modern Rock/Alternative Album of the Year and Hard Music Recorded Song of the Year for "Locked in a Cage."
