Invincible is the third studio album by the Christian rock band Skillet, released on February 1, 2000 by Ardent Records and ForeFront Records. It was later distributed by INO Records and Sony Music. The album was produced by lead singer and musician John Cooper and Skidd Mills.
Skillet was continuing the industrial and electronic rock sound as heard on their previous album Hey You, I Love Your Soul but it was more modernized. The band went through their first personnel line-up change as Kevin Haaland replaced original guitarist Ken Steorts, although Steorts performed additional guitar on the album. John Cooper's wife Korey joined the band as she played keyboards and backing vocals, as well as loops, programming and sampling. The tracks "Best Kept Secret" and "You're Powerful" both topped the Christian Rock chart while their Christian CHR track "Rest" peaked at number 3.
Invincible debuted and peaked at number 13 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart. In 2001, Skillet garnered two Dove Award nominations for Modern Rock/Alternative Album of the Year and Rock Recorded Song of the Year for "Best Kept Secret." The album's final track, "You're In My Brain," contains a hidden song called "Angels Fall Down," which appears on their worship album Ardent Worship: Skillet Live.
In the music video for "Best Kept Secret," Lori Peters appears replacing Trey McClurkin on the drums along with the rest of Skillet making an entrance in a hallway way wearing futuristic clothing, while the rest of it shows them playing in a room in similar clothing.
