Lead Me On Live 1989 is a double disc live album by Christian singer - songwriter Amy Grant. The live album was released on October 6, 2023 to digital and streaming platforms, while the physical 2-CD set was released on October 20, 2023 by Amy Grant Productions and Capitol Christian Music Group. The live album was mixed and mastered by Steve Bishir with Grant and Jennifer Cooke serving as executive producers.
Lead Me On Live 1989 was recorded during the Lead Me On Tour on March 10, 1989 at the Tarrant County Convention Center in Fort Worth, Texas. Grant and her bandmates, including Grant's first husband Gary Chapman and fellow CCM artist and friend Michael W. Smith, performed songs from Lead Me On and Unguarded as well as favorites such as "El Shaddai," "Stay for a While" and "Angels." There may have been some bootleg recordings of this tour over the years, but Lead Me On Live 1989 was restored from the vault, making this an official concert recording.
Accoding to Music Row, "the salvageable film footage from the 1989 Fort Worth show that has been 'in the vault' will finally see the light of day on YouTube and social media platforms in the forms of music videos, shorts, reels and more." A music video clip from the tour "Wait for the Healing" was released on YouTube, the same day as the digital release. The next two weeks saw a new individual live music video being released each day leading up to the physical release.
As of October 21, 2023, the live album debuted and peaked at number 50 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart.
