Mercy is the sixth studio album by Christian singer - songwriter Bryan Duncan, released in 1992 on Myrrh/Word Records. The album is produced by Dan Posthuma.
Mercy is Duncan's most successful album containing seven singles that all went Top 10 on the Christian music charts including the lead single and music video "Love Takes Time," topping the Christian CHR chart, plus "Into My Heart," "Step by Step" and "When It Comes to Love" all went charted on both Christian CHR and Christian AC charts. The radio singles were released between late 1992 and spring 1994. Musician/producer Michael Omartian co-wrote two songs with Duncan, as well as one of the keyboard arrangers along with Robbie Buchanan and Peter Wolf. Christian music singer Crystal Lewis duets with Duncan on the album's final track "Five Smooth Stones."
Mercy peaked at number 4 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart. Duncan earned his first Dove Award nomination for Male Vocalist of the Year in 1994. A concert video on VHS was released in 1993 titled Mercy Alive! - Bryan Duncan Live at Flevo Festival: The Netherlands featuring the Christian R&B vocal group Anointed providing backing vocals. It includes behind-the-scenes footage of Duncan and his band and interviews.
