More To This Life is the third studio album by Christian singer - songwriter Steven Curtis Chapman, released in 1989 on Sparrow Records. The album is produced by Phil Naish and climbed to number 2 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart.
Five songs were released as radio singles between 1989 and 1990. One of the tracks, "I Will Be Here," became a signature song for Chapman and has been very popular and used at weddings. He dedicated the song to his wife Mary Beth Chapman. It was ranked at number 26 by CCM Magazine in their 2006 book The 100 Greatest Songs in Christian Music.
Chapman earned his second Grammy nomination for Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album at the 33rd Grammy Awards. At the Dove Awards Chapman won back-to-back Male Vocalist of the Year and Artist of the Year titles plus Songwriter of the Year honors in 1991. The CD version of More To This Life contains a bonus track that is not on the audio cassette version called "Out in the Highways." The album was certified Gold by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) for sales of 500,000 in 2002.
