Rescue: Live Worship (2005)

Rescue: Live Worship is the first live album by the Christian music group NewSong. It was released around June 2005 by Integrity Music with distribution by Provident Label Group and Sony Music. It is NewSong's first live and first wholly-worship themed album on CD mixing well-known worship songs, fast rising worship songs like "Rescue," "My Glorious" and "Wonderful Maker" and brand new worship songs like the new tracks "Every Day's Another Day (Journey to Eternity)," "Before the Day," "I'll Rise" and new live versions of their signature song "Arise My Love" and "Your Favorite Name is Father."

A companion DVD was also released containing the same track listing as on the audio CD. The concert was taped at First Baptist Church in Woodstock, Georgia on November 14, 2004. Rescue: Live Worship was produced by Paul Mills and former NewSong member Scotty Wilbanks performs with the band handling vocals, keyboards and co-producing the live tracks. Some editions of Rescue: Live Worship contains a second CD of bonus tracks including the Tim Hughes worship hit "Here I Am to Worship," a three-song NewSong medley of their radio hits "Red Letter Day," "Wonderful One" and "Can't Keep a Good Man Down," and new recordings of "People Get Ready" and "Defining Moment." The bonus tracks are also in their live DVD on the menu options tab. Three singles were released with the tracks "Rescue," "Psalm 40" and "Before the Day" all hitting number one on Radio & Records' Christian Inspo chart.

Rescue: Live Worship peaked at number 10 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums and at number 15 on the Heatseekers Albums charts. In 2006, it was nominated for a Dove Award for Praise & Worship Album of the Year.
