Take Hold of Christ is the 20th studio album by Christian singer Sandi Patty, released on February 11, 2003 by Word/Curb/Warner Bros. Records. Patty reunites with her long-time producer Greg Nelson for this project. While it's still contemporary, Take Hold of Christ is a return to Patty's inspirational roots to recapture her glory days of her classic hits like "We Shall Behold Him," "Was It a Morning Like This" and "How Majestic Is Your Name" but for the 21st century.
Album highlights include the title song, "Fields of Mercy," "Savior Came (When I Was Needy)" and "The Majesty and Glory of Your Name." Take Hold of Christ debuted and peaked at number 37 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart.
In 2004, the album was nominated for a Dove Award for Inspirational Album of the Year. This album was Patty's last album for Word Records overall after more than 17 years on the label.
