Tickets for a Prayer Wheel (EP) (1995)

Tickets for a Prayer Wheel is a 10-song extended play by the Christian alternative rock band Sixpence None the Richer. It was released on October 15, 1995 and it was their final album on R.E.X. Music. Releases just six months after their second album This Beautiful Mess, this EP served as a bridge between that release and their eventual mainstream breakthrough album, Sixpence None the Richer.
Tickets for a Prayer Wheel features an eclectic mix of cover songs, experimental dance remixes and alternative pop-rock. The cover songs are "Carry You," originally recorded by Sam Phillips (recorded as Leslie Phillips from her 1987 album The Turning) and the 1931 pop standard "Love Letters in the Sand" made famous by Pat Boone in 1957. A demo recording of their first Christian hit "Within a Room Somewhere" is included as well as the radio edit, plus "Love, Salvation, The Fear of Death" features the intro and dance mixes.
After the release of the EP, R.E.X. Music folded leaving the band without a label temporarily. Sixpence worked on their third studio album in 1997 with Steve Taylor producing and then eventually signed on his label Squint Entertainment.
