Wild Blue Yonder is the self-titled and one-time album by the Christian rock band Wild Blue Yonder. It was originally released in 1986 on Frontline Records. This was the album that featured vocalist Crystal Lewis on lead vocals. The band was formed in 1984. Lewis was around 16 years old when Wild Blue Yonder was released. The album had a rockabilly sound and the song "Only One" garnered some limited airplay. The band also consisted of Chris Brigandi on guitar, Paul Martin on bass guitar and Joey Mitchell on drums. The band also covers Judy Garland's signature classic "Over the Rainbow" from the motion picture The Wizard of Oz. The album was produced by Daniel Amos lead singer Terry Scott Taylor. After two years and one album, Wild Blue Yonder separated, but Lewis stayed with Frontline and signed a solo recording contract and started work on her first solo album. Wild Blue Yonder was reissued on CD in 1995 on the Metro One label with an alternate album cover, different track listing order and two unreleased tracks, "Where Can I Go" and "Every Day."
