Worship Again (2002)

Updated: Dec 24, 2023

Worship Again is a live album by Christian singer - songwriter Michael W. Smith, released on October 22, 2002 by Reunion Records.

It is Smith's second (and self-produced) album of contemporary worship music, serving as a follow-up to 2001's Worship album, and was recorded live at the Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, Kentucky on July 19, 2002. Tracks 12-14 are studio cuts including the song and music video "There She Stands." The song is written by Smith and Wes King and serves as a tribute to the people who suffered in the September 11 attacks.

Worship Again topped the Billboard Top Christian Albums and peaked at number 14 on the Top 200 Albums charts. The album won Smith his third Grammy Award for Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album at the 46th Grammy Awards. Smith won four Dove Awards for Praise and Worship Album of the Year, Male Vocalist, Artist of the Year and Long Form Music Video of the Year at the 34th GMA Dove Awards. The album was Gold certified in 2003 and Platinum certified in 2009.
