Bob Carlisle is the self-titled debut solo album by Christian singer - songwriter Bob Carlisle. It was released on June 15, 1993 by Sparrow Records. The album was produced by Bill Deaton and musician Charlie Peacock.
It is Carlisle's first solo album after the disbanding of his Christian rock band Allies with their final album Man With a Mission. This album showcases his voice and is more of a pop/adult contemporary sound with songs that emphasize his willingness to be used as a servant of God. "Getting Stronger" and "Giving You the Rest of My Life" gave Carlisle his first two solo number one songs on the Christian radio charts. Other song highlights include "Use Me" "Mind, Body, Heart and Soul" and "Goin' Home," which was written by Erick Nelson. Carlisle was once a member of Nelson's group Good News in the mid 1970s. Bob Carlisle debuted and peaked at number 16 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart. Even though he's been singing since the 1970s and is an established artist, in 1994, Carlisle was nominated for the New Artist Dove Award.
