Brand New is the sixth studio album by Christian singer - songwriter Leon Patillo. It was his one and only album released by Sparrow Records on June 25, 1987. Patillo produced the album's eight tracks himself and Norbert Putnam produced the two tracks, "Isn't It Crazy" and "Blessed Are You."
Patillo returns to music after a year and a half away, after the release of Love Around the World and his comedy album A Funny Thing Happened... . This was the last of Patillo's period albums of the 1980s. Brand New also has an updated sound, particularly on the upbeat title track, "I'm Brand New." The slowed-down ballad "Isn't It Crazy" was written by fellow CCM musician and songwriter Tim Miner. Both of the above-mentioned tracks were his final Top 10 hits on Christian radio. Brand New peaked at number 8 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart. This is also Patillo's last charted release.
