Comatose Comes Alive (2008)

Comatose Comes Alive is a live CD/DVD combo album by the Christian rock band Skillet, released on October 21, 2008 by Ardent Records, INO Records and Lava/Atlantic Records. It is the band's second live album after their 2000 live worship album Ardent Worship: Skillet Live and their second live DVD after their 2002 live DVD Alien Youth: The Unplugged Invasion. Comatose Comes Alive was recorded at the Tivoli Theatre in Chattanooga, Tennessee on May 9, 2008 during their Comatose Tour showcasing their live production. This is the first Skillet album to introduce new drummer Jen Ledger, who replaced drummer Lori Peters when she left the band in early 2008.

A Deluxe Edition of Comatose Comes Alive was released a year later in 2009 featuring the same track listing as the original live CD with bonus tracks: a B-side studio recording of "Live Free or Let Me Die" and five acoustic audio tracks from Comatose. Those bonus tracks originally appeared on the Deluxe Edition of Comatose in late 2007. The DVD contains the same track listing as the audio CD with four music videos: "Rebirthing," "Whispers in the Dark," "The Older I Get (a behind the scenes video) and "Savior" from their 2003 album Collide.

Comatose Comes Alive debuted and peaked at number 14 on the Top Christian Albums and at number 164 on the Billboard 200 Albums charts. In 2009, Skillet was nominated for three Dove Awards for Group of the Year, Rock Album of the Year and Long Form Music Video of the Year. The live album was produced by John Cooper, Brian Howes, Skidd Mills and Paul Ebersold.
