Consider the Cost (1991)

Updated: Jun 22

Consider the Cost is the tenth studio album by Christian singer - songwriter Steve Camp, released in 1991 on Sparrow Records. The album is produced by Phil Naish.

Consider the Cost is more mellow in sound, almost in the vein of his 1987 album After God's Own Heart, particularly on his lead single "For Every Time," which Camp co-wrote with fellow CCM artist and Sparrow label mate Steven Curtis

Chapman and the Keith Green-inspired title song, save for the upbeat Green tribute track "Follow Me." In addition to Camp's writing, other co-writers include his regular songwriter and CCM recording artist Rob Frazier, Kim Maxfield and Kemper Crabb. Consider the Cost peaked at number 4 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart. This is Camp's final studio album on Sparrow Records after being on the label since 1984.
