From a Servant's Heart (1986)

Updated: Sep 19

From a Servant's Heart is the seventh studio album by Christian gospel singer Larnelle Harris, released in 1986 on Benson Records. The album is produced by Greg Nelson. The album's highlight is the lead single "I Miss My With You," which he co-wrote with Phil McHugh. It was a multi-format hit on Christian radio, especially on the inspirational chart. Harris covers the Edwin Hawkins Singers' 1969 crossover gospel hit "Oh, Happy Day" and the hymn "His Eye Is On The Sparrow." From a Servant's Heart climbed to number 15 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart. The album earned Harris a Grammy nomination for Best Gospel Performance, Male at the 29th Grammy Awards and was nominated for Male Vocalist of the Year, Artist of the Year and Inspirational Album of the Year at the 18th GMA Dove Awards. Unfortunately, this album is not available on any digital or streaming platform and is out of print.
