I'll Never Stop Lovin' You is the third solo album by Christian singer - songwriter Leon Patillo, released on May 24, 1982 by Myrrh/Word Records. Patillo produced the album with Skip Konte.
The album contains his signature hit "Cornerstone," which was a big Christian radio hit claiming his first number one song on the Christian AC/CHR chart where it stayed for 16 weeks, even keeping label mate Amy Grant's "El Shaddai" out of the top spot where it remained in the runner up position. Legendary musician Carlos Santana (whom Patillo was a member of his band Santana in the mid 1970s) guests as a guitar soloist on the title song and "Saved." The track "River" is a Santana/Patillo composition they wrote back in 1977. Earth, Wind & Fire musician, vocalist and Patillo's friend Philip Bailey provides backing vocals on the first four tracks along with other vocalists and musicians.
I'll Never Stop Lovin' You peaked at number 5 on the Billboard Top Inspirational
Albums (later Top Christian Albums) chart by mid 1983. That same year, Patillo won his first, and only, Dove Award for Contemporary Black Gospel Album of the Year while also earning a nomination for Male Vocalist of the Year at the 14th GMA Dove Awards.
The back album cover features a family portrait of Patillo, his then-wife Jackie Patillo and their first-born son Gabriel Patillo.
