Kisses From Heaven is a collaborative Christian worship album by female vocalists Susan Ashton, Christine Denté and Michelle Tumes. It was released first in Europe and Australia on November 19, 2004 and then in the United States under the title Lost in Wonder: Voices of Worship (with an alternate album cover) on April 26, 2005 by Kingsway Music and Worship Together.
Originally conceived in 2003, Kisses From Heaven served as a meaningful creative return for Ashton during a transitional period in her life and career. Producer John Hartley originally approached Ashton to sing demos for a U.K.-based worship project. After she unexpectedly lost her record deal with Capitol Records, Hartley invited her to complete the project as a full album. Ashton described the experience as a vital part of her personal healing and spiritual growth. Despite their beautiful vocal harmonies, the three singers did not actually record their vocals together in the studio. In fact, the only time Ashton, Denté and Tumes were physically in the same room for the project was for the CD cover photo shoot. Kisses From Heaven contains a mix of original and well-known contemporary worship songs like "Here I Am to Worship," "Beautiful One" and "In Christ Alone."
Ashton and Denté have previously collaborated on the 1994 project Along the Road with Margaret Becker. For Tumes, it was her second collaboration album and her first with Ashton and Denté. She previously collaborated on the 1999 worship project Heaven & Earth: A Tapestry of Worship with Becker, Rebecca St. James, Nichole Nordeman and Jennifer Knapp. Kisses From Heaven has never charted on any album charts due to its independent-leaning worship release. It was primarily distributed through specialized Christian retail bookstores and international markets rather than receiving a major commercial push.
