Simple Truth (1989)

Updated: Jan 7

Simple Truth is the eighth studio album by Scottish Christian singer - author Sheila Walsh, released in 1989 on Myrrh Records. Simple Truth is produced by Greg Nelson, who is best known for producing Christian inspirational artists like Sandi Patty, Larnelle Harris and Steve Green. This album, according to CCM Magazine, shows "a kinder, gentler Walsh." Changing her musical style so Walsh can accommodate her audience which are viewers from The 700 Club, Simple Truth is more adult contemporary and MOR (middle of the road), departing from her pop sounds of Shadowlands and Say So. Walsh covers the Neil Diamond track "This Time," which she dedicated to her first husband Norman Miller and Walsh co-wrote two songs "Come Into His Kingdom" and "Love Alone." Songwriting contributions include Bob Farrell, Chris Eaton and Michael and Stormie Omartian.
