The Distance (1987)

Updated: Jan 7

The Distance is the third studio album by Christian singer - songwriter Geoff Moore. Released in 1987, it is his final album on Benson Records' Power Discs label and is produced by Billy Smiley. Continuing his arena rock sound from his previous album Over the Edge, the album once again features members of the Christian rock band White Heart in the rhythm section and Moore has put together his touring band, also named The Distance with Dale Oliver on guitar, Arlin Troyer on bass guitar and Lang Bliss on drums. In 2020, The Distance was reissued and remastered by Girder Records available on CD and vinyl. The CD version contains a bonus track of "Why Should the Devil Have All the Good Music," this time as a duet with its writer, Larry Norman.
