The Passionate Pursuit is the 12th studio album by Christian singer - songwriter Scott Wesley Brown, released in late December 1991 by Word Records. The album was produced by Tom Wanca.
The Passionate Pursuit musically continues his transition into an early-1990s pop-rock and adult contemporary sound while focusing heavily on praise, global missions, and spiritual commitment. The album features 11 tracks that blend vertical worship anthems with call-to-action songs. Tracks like "Creator," "Elohim," and "Righteous and Holy" are built as direct songs of praise, focusing heavily on Hebrew names of God and creation. In keeping with Brown's real-life role as a missions advocate, songs like "Into the World" and "Who Will Stand in the Gap" function as direct challenges for Christians to enter the mission field. The Passionate Pursuit serves as Brown's third and final release on the Word Records label.
The album is not available on digital platforms. A YouTube link to listen to the album is posted below this article.
