What a Way To Go is the debut studio album by Christian singer - songwriter Billy Sprague. It was released on November 1984 by Reunion Records, originally distributed by Word Records. The album was produced by CCM musician, artist and label mate Michael W. Smith.
What a Way To Go is a contemporary pop/rock album with Smith contributing on production, songwriting, playing keyboards and providing backing vocals throughout the album, along with Sprague's skills on the acoustic guitar,
songwriting and vocals and other studio musicians. His early Christian radio hits include "Heavenly Father," "Jude Doxology" and the title song. Sprague also recorded "How Could You Say No," a song later recorded and charted by pop folk singer Julie Miller in 1990. What a Way To Go was originally available on vinyl and cassette tape only and is currently out of print. It is available for sale digitally by way of Sprague's website www.billysprague.com.
