A New Hallelujah is a live praise and worship album by Christian singer -songwriter Michael W. Smith, released on October 28, 2008 by Reunion Records. Smith produced the album himself.
It is Smith's first live worship album (his fourth live album overall) since his two live worship albums Worship and Worship Again. A New Hallelujah was recorded live at Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas on June 20, 2008. A DVD version of the album was released in March 2009 along with additional bonus features: Behind The Scenes: A New Hallelujah including four new tracks from the live concert. The African Children's Choir was featured on two tracks: the title song and "When I Think of You" and Christian worship leader Israel Houghton is featured on the song "Help Is On the Way." The Deluxe Edition of A New Hallelujah features extra tracks.
The album topped the Top Christian Albums and peaked at number 19 on the Top 200 Albums charts in Billboard magazine. In 2009, Smith won two Dove Awards for Praise and Worship Album of the Year for A New Hallelujah and the title song for Inspirational Recorded Song of the Year, which he co-wrote with his wife Debbie Smith and Paul Baloche.
