It's a Wonderful Christmas is the fifteenth studio and third Christmas album by Christian singer -songwriter Michael W. Smith, released on October 16, 2007 by Reunion Records.
It is Smith's third Christmas album and his first since 1998's Christmastime. Smith and music composer -arranger David Hamilton produced the album. It's a Wonderful Christmas features four choirs and a 65-piece orchestra. About half the album is instrumental pieces and features American CCM/gospel singer and American Idol finalist Mandisa performing a duet with Smith on the song "Christmas Day."
The album peaked at number two on both the Billboard Top Christian Albums and Top Holiday Albums charts and peaked at number 54 on the Top 200 Albums chart. Smith won a Dove Award for Christmas Album of the Year for It's a Wonderful Christmas at the 39th GMA Dove Awards.
