Another Journal Entry (2005)

Another Journal Entry is the second studio album by the female Christian rock band BarlowGirl, released on September 27, 2005 by Fervent/Word Records. The album was produced by Otto Price.

Another Journal Entry continues the success first heard on their self-titled debut album with their mix of power pop, Christian rock and ballads. BarlowGirl did it again with the release of their second single "I Need You to Love Me" as it topped the R&R (Radio & Records) Christian CHR chart for 9 weeks starting on March 17, 2006 and was named the number one song of 2006, tying their first number one hit "Never Alone." The Barlow sister made a music video for this single and was released the same year as their first video "Never Alone."

"Grey" was also made into a music video. BarlowGirl wrote eight original songs, plus they cover two tracks: "Never Enough" co-written and recorded by Christian worship artist Chris Tomlin and "No One Like You" written and recorded by David Crowder Band. They also record an acoustic version of "Never Alone." Christian artist Todd Agnew was a featured vocalist on the track "Psalm 73 (My God's Enough)." Another Journal Entry debuted and peaked at number 5 on the Top Christian Albums and peaked at number 85 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart, making their first appearance on that chart.

In 2006, BarlowGirl was nominated for three Dove Awards for Group of the Year, Rock/Contemporary Album of the Year and Rock Recorded Song of the Year for "Let Go." They were nominated for Group of the Year the following year. That same year, BarlowGirl reissued Another Journal Entry as an expanded edition released on August 29, 2006. It added a recording of the hymn "For the Beauty of the Earth." This edition also added three acoustic tracks, previously exclusive to Sony Connect, and a radio edit of "Never Alone," removing 20 seconds of instrumentals from the album version. The disc also includes the music video for "Never Alone," which features the unedited song in a low-definition QuickTime version. A "Fan Pack" variant of the expanded edition was also released, bundling a bonus book More Than Music and a BarlowGirl sticker with the album.
