BarlowGirl (2004)

BarlowGirl is the debut studio album by the female Christian rock band BarlowGirl. It was their first album on Word Records' Fervent label released on February 24, 2004. The Barlow sisters wrote all the songs.

The album was preceded by its first single "Harder Than the First Time" climbing to the Top 20 on both Radio and Records (R&R) Christian CHR and Rock charts. But it was their second single "Never Alone" that put the Barlow sisters on the map to success. "Never Alone" peaked at the top of R&R's Christian CHR chart on July 23, 2004 and would stay there for 9 weeks, while it peaked at number two on R&R's Christian Rock chart and made the Top 20 on the Christian AC chart with its radio remix. "Never Alone" peaked at number 21 on the Billboard Hot Christian Songs chart. A music video for the song was made in 2006 and released on YouTube

Their next singles "Mirror" peaked at number 3 on the Christian CHR chart by February 2005 and "On My Own" peaked at the Top 20 on the Christian Rock chart in March 2005. The track "Clothes" was released for airplay on Radio Disney. The album was produced by Otto Price, who is best-known as a musical director and bass player for DC Talk's tours of the mid to late 1990s. BarlowGirl peaked at number 9 on the Top Christian Albums and number 14 on the Heatseekers Albums charts on Billboard magazine.

In 2005, BarlowGirl picked Dove Award nominations for New Artist of the Year, Rock/Contemporary Album of the Year and Rock/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year for "Never Alone." A year later, "Mirror" was nominated for Rock/

Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year.

NOTE: there was another song that were recorded for BarlowGirl:

"Image" was originally on the enhanced CD that included a weblink that sent the user to a page featuring the track and a video. That page has since been taken down.
