Intermission: The Greatest Hits (2000)

Updated: Jun 12

Intermission: The Greatest Hits is a compilation album by the Christian vocal trio DC Talk, released on November 21, 2000 by ForeFront Records. It features songs from their studio albums Free at Last, Jesus Freak, plus "Consume Me" and "Supernatural" the only two tracks from Supernatural. No songs from their debut album or Nu Thang are represented in this collection. The songs "My Will" from the various artists worship album Exodus and the Larry Norman cover "I Wish We'd All Been Ready" taken from the Larry Norman tribute album One Way are also included and two new songs "Chance" and "SugarCoatIt."

The lead single is a remix version of "Say the Words," originally recorded from Free at Last, and was released to both Christian CHR and Christian AC and would give them their final number song on both charts. To accompany the Jesus Freak interlude "Mrs. Morgan," "Mr. Morgan" is a new interlude recorded just for this album. The new recordings would be the final recordings DC Talk have released. After this, the trio, as the title of this album suggests, be on "intermission" as they embark on solo careers and join in groups. They performed and recorded individual songs together several times during the 2000s, although the group never officially reunited or disbanded.

Intermission debuted and peaked at number 81 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums and number 3 on the Top Christian Albums charts. The album would be their final Gold certified album.
