Live Wire (2004)

Live Wire is the first live album and concert DVD by the Christian rock band Third Day, released on November 23, 2004 by Essential Records/Provident Music.

Live Wire was shot and recorded during Third Day's tour on July 22, 2004 at The Palace in Louisville, Kentucky. The band performs songs from their 2004 release Wire as well as a couple of older tracks "Sing A Song" and "Blackbird." The CD contains nine live tracks and one new studio track "Thank You All." Some of the songs were cut off the CD but can be found on the DVD. The DVD also contains photos and special features.

Live Wire was produced by Michael Sacci and directed by Carl Diebold with Third Day serving as co-executive producers. It was certified Gold and Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) by year's end. The live release peaked at number 22 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart by early January 2005. In 2006, the DVD was nominated for a Dove Award for Long Form Music Video of the Year and the live release was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album.
