The Best of Bob Carlisle: Butterfly Kisses & Other Stories is a compilation album by Christian singer - songwriter Bob Carlisle, released on May 21, 2002 by Diadem Music/Provident Music Distribution. This collection features eight previously released songs from Carlisle's three Diadem albums, Butterfly Kisses (Shades of Grace), Stories From the Heart and Nothing But the Truth, plus three new songs and the track "I Will Follow Christ" featuring Clay Crosse and BeBe Winans that appeared on Crosse's compilation album I Surrender All. The Best of Bob Carlisle gave Carlisle his final chart appearance on the Billboard Top Christian Album chart, debuting and peaking at number 38.
After this release and contributing to soundtrack albums and various artists projects, Carlisle walked away from recording and touring to spend more time with his family. Carlisle did reunite and reformed with his band Allies and the band have done some occasional concerts throughout the 2000s and 2010s.
