Adoration: The Worship Album is the tenth studio album by the Australian Christian rock band Newsboys, released on April 8, 2003 by Sparrow Records. The album is produced by Peter Furler and Steve Taylor. As part of the modern
contemporary worship movement, Adoration is a full-on praise and worship album, deviating from Newsboys' standard pop rock sound. This was the last Newsboys' album with long-time guitarist Jody Davis, until his reunion with the group in 2009 for In the Hands of God. The album also features two live tracks, both from their previous album Thrive.
Adoration topped the Billboard Top Christian Albums and peaked at number 33 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums charts. In 2004, Newsboys earned their fourth Grammy nomination for Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album and was nominated for four Dove Awards including Group of the Year and Praise and Worship Album of the Year. Preceded by the lead single and music video "He Reigns," the song was nominated for Song of the Year and Worship Song of the Year. That same year, the album was certified Gold and in 2023, "He Reigns" became the band's third Gold certified single by the Recording Industry Association of America. The song was named, by CCM Magazine in 2006, as one The 100 Greatest Songs in Christian Music, coming in at number 28.
The "He Reigns" CD single made an appearance on the Billboard Dance Single Sales chart, due to the inclusion of the track "Thrive" (Is That James Dancing? Mix) from their remix album Newsboys Remixed.
