Chronology Volume 1 (2007)

Chronology Volume 1 is the first of two official compilation albums by the Christian rock band Third Day. It was released on March 27, 2007 by Essential Records/Provident Music. It was released as a two disc CD and DVD. The audio CD contains 17 tracks consisting of six new mixed tracks, two new recordings of older songs ("Thief" and "My Hope Is You"), a "steel mix" of "I've Always Loved You," three live recordings, two songs from their 1999 EP Southern Tracks and three remastered songs. The tracks cover their recordings years from 1996 to 2000.

The second disc is a DVD containing music videos, Dove Award performances and bootleg videos including some early performances before the band became more famous and well known. The second release Chronology Volume 2 was released four months later in August 2007.

Chronology Volume 1 debuted and peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums and at number 61 on the Billboard 200. The DVD was certified Double Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America in 2013.
