Sincerely Yours (1981)

Updated: Jun 2

Sincerely Yours is the debut studio album by Christian singer - songwriter Gary Chapman. It was released in 1981 on Benson Records' Lamb & Lion label. The album was produced by DeGarmo & Key (Eddie DeGarmo & Dana Key) and Joe Hardy.

Chapman primarily started out as a songwriter for Paragon Music writing songs for Amy Grant, Sandi Patty and Jamie Owens-Collins among others. After having written the hit song "Father's Eyes" by Grant in 1979 and in 1981 winning a Dove Award for Songwriter of the Year, Chapman signed with Benson's Lamb & Lion label as a recording artist and released Sincerely Yours, showcasing his vocals and songwriting skills and has written and co-written all ten songs. The title song "Sincerely Yours" became his earliest Christian radio hit making the Top 5 on the Christian AC chart in late 1981. Grant provides guest vocals on the track "Anywhere." Sincerely Yours is currently out of print and is not available on CD or digitally. A YouTube link to listen to the album is posted below this article.
