The Way of Wisdom is the ninth studio album by Christian singer/songwriter/
author Michael Card, released in the fall of 1990 by Sparrow Records. The album was produced by Phil Naish, who co-produced Card's 1989 best-selling Children's album Sleep Sound in Jesus.
The Way of Wisdom is the second volume of a three-album trilogy based on songs from the Old Testament of the Bible titled The Ancient Faith. The first four tracks focuses on individual songs from Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Job (in a near 10 minute suite) and Song of Solomon and the final six tracks are from the book of Psalms. Card calls these songs, "Wisdom Writings." The tracks listed will also show from where in the Bible the song is based on with parenthesis (). The Way of Wisdom peaked at number 7 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart in early January 1991.
The Way of Wisdom was repackaged, along with The Beginning and The Word:
Recapturing the Imagination, into a 2-CD boxed set titled The Ancient Faith.
