  • What Matters Most (2001)

What Matters Most is the sixth studio album by Christian singer/songwriter/ guitarist Wes King . It was released on October 16, 2001 by Word Records' Word Artisan label. King and Ed Cash produced five songs each. King returned to making music after a four year absence. Between his last release A Room Full of Stories and this album, King collaborated with fellow musicians and songwriters Phil Keaggy and Scott Denté of Out of the Grey on the mostly-instrumental album Invention and went on tour. In 1999, King co-wrote with Michael W. Smith about the Columbine High School shooting on the track "This Is Your Time." King won Dove Awards for the above mentioned projects. King wanted to spend time with his family. His wife had given birth to twin sons after the release of A Room Full of Stories . What Matters Most is a reflection of those moments King spent with his twin sons. The songs focus on advice for Christian living, like the title track and "There Is a God." CCM Magazine has called this album "a simple, stirring and acoustically stellar collection of well-crafted--often just downright sweet--songs about life and love and faith." King wrote all ten songs. This was King's only release on the Word Artisan label.   In 2005, King was diagnosed with lymphoma and underwent many months of extremely difficult treatments and years of side-effects. King is now cancer free and is feeling well enough to spend time in his studio again, although he has not released an album of new material since. • The Robe (1993)

The Robe is the third studio album by Christian singer/songwriter/guitarist Wes King , released on March 23, 1993 by Reunion Records. The album was produced by Phil Naish. The Robe charted on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart and peaked at number 18.
