Released at the time of the COVID-19 pandemic, Still is a worship album featuring an atmospheric listening experience of improvisational music coupled with inspirational scriptures spoken by Smith himself. During the time of the pandemic, Still provides a respite from the chaos and fear, and offers encouragement for the listener to be ''still" and breathe; to rest and find comfort away from the noise of life. The album includes 5 tracks of spoken word over instrumental music running 27 minutes and then 5 additional tracks with just the music alone.   • Hymns (1986) (2nd Chapter of Acts album)

    Hymns is the eighth studio album by the Christian vocal trio 2nd Chapter of Acts , released in the fall of 1986 on Live Oak Records. After the release of their previous album Night Light , the trio headed to Easter Song Studio in Garden Valley, Texas to record Hymns , covering mostly traditional hymns sung in churches but in their style of vocal harmonies and with an adult contemporary sound. Production was done by Buck Herring, with the trio handling the vocal arrangements and musician John Andrew Schreiner handling the instrumental arrangements and playing keyboards throughout the album. The final track "He Has Formed Me" is an original song written by trio member Annie Herring. The hymn "Fairest Lord Jesus" was released as the lead single to Christian AC and Inspirational radio. A music video was made for the next single "My Jesus I Love Thee." In 1987, Hymns climbed up to number 9 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart and it became one of their biggest selling albums. That same year, 2nd Chapter of Acts won their first (and only) Dove Award for Praise and Worship Album of the Year for Hymns at the 18th GMA Dove Awards.     Hymns is the eighteenth studio album by Christian singer -songwriter Michael W. Smith , released on March 24, 2014 and sold exclusively at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store and is distributed by Provident Label Group. The album consists of Smith's rendition of traditional hymns, including many that he sang at church when he was young. Smith also covers "Wonderful, Merciful Savior" as recorded by Selah. This was Smith's last album to be distributed by Provident before beginning his new contract with Capitol Christian Music Group. Hymns debuted and peaked at number 25 on the Billboard 200 Albums, number 1 on the Top Christian Albums and number 5 on the Independent Albums charts.     Awaken: The Surrounded Experience is a live worship album by Christian singer -songwriter Michael W. Smith , released on February 22, 2019 by Rocketown Records/The Fuel Music. Awaken is an extension of his 2018 live album Surrounded featuring songs from that album and new worship songs and was recorded at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee on August 30, 2018. It was also recorded for video broadcasting in cooperation with TBN (Trinity Broadcasting Network) to view online at their website and stream on the TBN app, titled Surrounded: Live from Bridgestone Arena . Awaken would later be released as a CD/DVD combo. The live album features special guest vocalists CeCe Winans , Madelyn Berry, Vanessa Campagna, Mark Gutierrez, Calvin Nowell, Alex Seeley and Skye Reedy. Smith co-produced the album with Kyle Lee. Awaken peaked at number 13 on the Top Christian Albums, number 10 on the Top Independent Albums and number 73 on the Top Album Sales charts in Billboard magazine. A radio version of the song "Waymaker" featuring Smith and Vanessa Campagna was released as a stand-alone single to Christian radio and also for digital release but not on the Awaken live album. Released in the fall of 2019, "Waymaker" climbed to number 1 on Billboard 's Christian Airplay chart in May 2020 giving Smith his first number one on the Billboard chart and his first number one overall in over 20 years. In October 2020, the song won a Dove Award winning the top prize for Song of the Year giving to Nigerian singer, songwriter and senior worship leader Osinachi Kalu Okoro Egbu, known professionally as Sinach. Sinach is the first female Nigerian to win a Dove Award. In addition to Smith's recording, "Waymaker" has been sung by many Christian artists in many languages. Smith's radio version of "Waymaker" as a digital single has been certified Gold by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) on May 12, 2022 for sales of half a million downloads and according to Spotify, it is Smith's second most streamed song to date with more than 29 million streams behind his Surrounded track "Surrounded (Fight My Battles)" with 46 million streams. Surrounded was released one week after Smith's studio album A Million Lights and it is Smith's first live worship album in ten years since his 2008 album A New Hallelujah . The album was recorded on November 2, 2017. Surrounded peaked at number 2 on the Top Christian Albums, number 8 on the Top Independent Albums and number 118 on the Billboard 200 Albums charts.     A Million Lights is the twenty first studio album by Christian singer -songwriter Michael W. Smith , released on February 16, 2018. The album was released independently on Smith's Rocketown Records label (named after the song "Rocketown" from Smith's 1986 album The Big Picture ) and distributed by The Fuel Music. It is Smith's first new album in four years and a proper follow up to 2010's Wonder . Originally it was set to be released in October 2017 but ultimately was postponed to February 2018. The first single from the album, the title song, was released on August 11, 2017. The album is a mix of pop music with some EDM (electronic dance music) influences. A Million Lights is produced by Bryan Todd, Kyle Lee and Paul Moak. American singer, actress and American Idol season six winner Jordin Sparks is a featured vocalist on the song "Hey Love." The album peaked at number 2 on the Top Christian Albums, number 8 on the Top Independent Albums and number 42 on the Top Album Sales charts in Billboard magazine. In 2020, Smith re-recorded the track "Conversation" as a stand-alone single but serious in tone, different from the original EDM recording from A Million Lights . The song accompanied by a music video is reflective considering that it was released during the COVID-19 pandemic and in the wake of the death of George Floyd and the Black Lives Matter movement. This would be his final album on the Capitol Christian Music Group as he went independent on future releases. It is Smith's fourth Christmas album overall following up his 2007 Christmas album It's a Wonderful Christmas and features duets with several country music artists like Carrie Underwood, Vince Gill, Jennifer Nettles, Martina McBride, Little Big Town and Lady A. Other artists include Amy Grant , Michael McDonald and Bono of the alternative rock band U2. Bono is featured in spoken word on the track "The Darkest Midnight." Several songs were released as singles mainly to Christian radio. Smith co-produced the album with David Hamilton and Robert Deaton. Released on May 13, 2014 (less than two months after Smith's Hymns album was released), it is the first of two albums Smith recorded on Capitol Christian Music Group. The album is produced by Christopher Stevens, Seth Mosley, Jeremy Edwardson and Joshua Silverberg with Smith as executive producer. It is Smith's first studio album of new material since Wonder and it's his first studio worship album. Christian singer Kari Jobe is featured on the song "The One That Really Matters." The Deluxe Edition of Sovereign features a live DVD of the album. Sovereign tops the Billboard Top Christian Albums and debuted and peaked at number 10 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart.     Glory is the seventeenth studio album by Christian singer -songwriter Michael W. Smith , released on November 22, 2011 by Reunion Records. It is Smith's second all-instrumental album after his 2000 album Freedom . The album was recorded with a 65-piece orchestra at AIR Studios in London, England and Wildwood Recording Studio in Nashville, Tennessee. The music was arranged by Smith's longtime friend David Hamilton, and produced by Smith and Hamilton. The album peaked at number seven on the Top Christian Albums and number 121 on the Billboard 200 Albums charts.     Decades of Worship is the third official compilation album by Christian singer -songwriter Michael W. Smith , released on January 12, 2012 by Reunion Records. This collection mostly comprises live and studio worship music from 2001 to 2010 and a remastered version of "Great Is The Lord" from his 1983 debut album Project . Decades of Worship peaked at number 99 on the Billboard 200 Albums and number 5 on the Top Christian Albums charts. This was Smith's last album on Reunion Records after nearly 30 years on the label.
