Susan Ashton is the self-titled third studio album by Christian singer Susan Ashton, released on November 9, 1993 by Sparrow Records. The album was produced by Wayne Kirkpatrick with Brown Bannister serving as executive producer. Susan Ashton produced two more No. 1 Christian AC hits: "Waiting For Your Love to Come Down" and "Remember Not." The latter track features Ashley Cleveland on harmony vocals on the bridge. The album opens with a seven and a half minute track (and further single) "Summer Solstice" and features Out of the Grey's (and future collaborator) Christine Denté on backing vocals. Angels of Mercy is the second studio album by Christian singer Susan Ashton, released on July 4, 1992 by Sparrow Records. The album was produced by Wayne Kirkpatrick with Brown Bannister serving as executive producer. Released over a year after her successful debut album Wakened By the Wind and fresh off a Dove nomination for New Artist of the Year, Ashton returns with her second album, once again continuing her country pop acoustic sound. The lead single and music video for "Here In My Heart" was written by Ashton and Gayla Borders. The lyrics tell a story about a person who gets caught up in the "madness" and rush of daily life, chasing big dreams and accidentally leaving God behind. Ultimately, the singer realizes that God is a patient, protective refuge who stays present right inside their heart. The song was an immediate hit at Christian radio where on the Christian AC chart, it topped for a week while peaking at No. 3 on the Christian CHR chart. Country singer Martina McBride would later cover "Here In My Heart" in 1997 on her fourth album Evolution. Songs from the Loft is a various artists compilation album released on September 20, 1993 by Reunion Records and, at the time, distributed by Word Records. The album was produced by Gary Chapman and Jim Dineen with Chapman's then-wife Amy Grant and her current manager Jennifer Cooke serving as executive producers. Songs from the Loft started as a project for Amy and Gary as they gathered teenagers and youth in their barn for these youth group-style meetings and sang simple worship songs. Grant recorded the track "Hope Set High" on her 1991 album Heart in Motion and dedicated it to the youth group that attends their meetings. On this album, Grant wrote the ten tracks, including "Hope Set High," along with CCM artist and songwriter Wes King co-writing on four of them, with "We Believe in God" as the lead single. Other artists participating are Chapman, King, Michael W. Smith, Kim Hill, Susan Ashton, Grant's back-up singer Donna McElroy, CCM-TV host Amy Delanie, Ashley Cleveland and Michael James. The album peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart and in 1994, won the Dove Award for Praise and Worship Album of the Year, given to the participating artists and producers Chapman and Dineen at the 25th GMA Dove Awards. The Robe is the third studio album by Christian singer/songwriter/guitarist Wes King, released on March 23, 1993 by Reunion Records. The album was produced by Phil Naish. The Robe is a departure from King's "acoustic groove" of his first two albums and bringing in a more modern commercial sound, courtesy of producer Phil Naish, who is best known for producing albums for Steven Curtis Chapman. Watercolour Ponies is the fifth studio album by Christian singer - songwriter Wayne Watson, released in 1987 on DaySpring/Word Records. Watson co-produced the album with Paul Mills. Watercolour Ponies became a breakthrough and benchmark for Watson, showcasing his growth and maturity as a singer and songwriter. The lead single "Friend of a Wounded Heart," co-written with songwriter Claire Cloninger, gave him his first number one song on the Christian AC chart and was a multi-format hit on Christian CHR and Inspirational radio charts. The self-written title song was another number one and multi-format hit as well. Both tracks were recognized by CCM Magazine in 2006 in their book The 100 Greatest Songs in Christian Music with "Friend of a Wounded Heart" ranking at number 77 and "Watercolour Ponies" ranking at number 68. According to Watson, the title song was born in the family kitchen. Watson was sitting at the kitchen counter and noticed a school painting by his son Adam, sticking to the refrigerator door. Watson said, "It sort of looked like a pony but there were elements and other things I couldn't identify. The house was cluttered with kid stuff; I thought of how soon the clutter would change to other stuff and then be gone altogether. It helped me take a deep breath and appreciate the gift in front of me-children in my care." The song was later released as a children's book Watson authored in 1992. Other songs also charted from the album including "Material Magic," "I Still Believe" and "Would I Know You." Watercolour Ponies was a big seller and peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart. Wakened By the Wind became a massive success and it became one of the biggest selling albums of the 1990s, especially by a debut artist. Burning Lights is the seventh studio album by Christian singer/songwriter/ worship leader Chris Tomlin, released on January 8, 2013 by sixstepsrecords/ Sparrow Records. After the release of his 2010 album And If Our God Is For Us... and subsequent tour, Tomlin took a year off in 2012 to record his next project Burning Lights. The album was produced by Jason Ingram with Dan Muckala co-producing on a couple of tracks and Ed Cash producing three songs. Tomlin continues to write songs that connect people to the heart of Jesus and lead them to a greater worship of Him. Only two singles were released to promote Burning Lights: "Whom Shall I Fear (God of Angel Armies)" and "God's Great Dance Floor." The former was released back in November 2012 and serves as a signature song and is now sung in churches worldwide. Written by Tomlin, producer Cash and his brother Scott Cash, "Whom Shall I Fear" is heavily rooted from scripture, particularly Psalm 27:1 ("The Lord is my light and my salvation - whom shall I fear?"). The song focuses on God's ultimate protection. It serves as a reminder that no matter what darkness, enemies, or challenges a person faces, the "God of Angel Armies" is always standing by their side. "Whom Shall I Fear" was an immediate hit on Christian radio and topped the Billboard Christian music charts across the board, also peaking at No. 11 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 and at No. 15 on the Heatseekers Songs charts. The song stayed on the charts for well over a year. The latter single, "God's Great Dance Floor," was another Top 10 hit on the Billboard Christian music charts. The track was written by Tomlin, former Delirious? lead singer Martin Smith and Nick Herbert. Unlike the typical slow- building worship ballads, "God's Great Dance Floor" was heavily influenced by Electronic Dance Music (EDM). Christopher Dwayne Tomlin (born May 4, 1972) is an American contemporary Christian music singer, songwriter and worship leader from Grand Saline, Texas. Tomlin is one of the biggest selling acts in Christian music of the 2000s and 2010s. His recordings of some of the best well-known worship songs have become Gold-selling titles like "How Great Is Our God," "Holy Forever," "Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)," "I Will Follow," "Holy Is the Lord" and many others. According to the Christian Copyright Licensing International, Tomlin is the most sung Christian artist in the United States. He was awarded Male Vocalist at the 2006 and 2007 Gospel Music Awards, and was named Artist of the Year in 2007. At the age of 13, Tomlin began singing at the Main Street Baptist church in Grand Saline. He wrote his first worship song at age fourteen. During high school, Tomlin learned to lead worship in his youth group. After graduating from Grand Saline High School in 1990, he entered Tyler Junior College (TJC) planning for a medical or physical therapy career. Tomlin graduated in 1992 and enrolled in Texas A&M University to study medicine. He grew active in a campus Christian group called Breakaway, where he became the worship leader. In 1994, Tomlin graduated from Texas A&M with a bachelor's degree in psychology. After college Tomlin participated as a worship leader at various camps in Texas, including Dawson McAllister Youth Conferences. While at Breakaway, Tomlin participated in a Bible study led by Choice Ministries founder Louie Giglio. In 1997, Tomlin partnered with Giglio to found Passion Conferences. Tomlin began his recording career in 1995 with his first independent album Inside Your Love. His next release was a collaboration with Todd Proctor entitled Shepherd Praise Volume 1: Fill Me Up in 1997 and then Authentic in 1998. In 2000, Tomlin signed with Sparrow Records through its association with the worship label sixstepsrecords which is a subsidiary of the Passion Conferences. His first nationally released album was The Noise We Make in 2001 featuring the song "Forever." Tomlin's second album Not to Us was released in 2002. His breakthrough third album was Arriving in 2004. The second single "Holy Is the Lord" climbed up to number 2 on the Billboard Christian music charts and then was Gold certified in 2023. Arriving was Tomlin's first album to chart on the Billboard Top Christian Albums and the Billboard 200 charts. Tomlin continued to release albums in the 2000s, 2010s and 2020s including three live albums and four Christmas albums. In 2013, Tomlin released Burning Lights and it debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200. It was the third number one album from a contemporary Christian artist top that chart. Tomlin has toured with many contemporary Christian artists, such as Steven Curtis Chapman, Michael W. Smith, and MercyMe. Tomlin left sixstepsrecords in 2015 and signed to Capitol Records CMG and River Music Holdings in 2016. On September 21, 2025, Tomlin led worship for the memorial service of Charlie Kirk held at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The assassination of Charlie Kirk occurred in Utah on September 10, 2025. On July 1, 2026, Tomlin's performance at the United States Semiquincentennial event in Washington, D.C. was met with widespread ridicule due to a lack of fans and a mostly-empty event established by the White House Task Force on Celebrating America's 250th Birthday. Holy Roar is the tenth studio album by Christian singer/songwriter/worship leader Chris Tomlin. It was released on October 26, 2018 by Sparrow Record and Capitol Christian Music Group. It is Tomlin's first album to not be issued on the imprint label sixstepsrecords. Tomlin's long-time producer Ed Cash produced eight of the album's 12 tracks and Bryan Fowler producing the other four tracks. Holy Roar features songs written specifically for church worship, ranging from quiet personal reflections to energetic shouts of praise. The music on Holy Roar is designed to help congregations and individual listeners connect deeply with God through worship. The phrase "Holy Roar" describes the massive sound of God's people singing together in worship. Tomlin launched this album alongside a companion book titled Holy Roar: 7 Words That Will Change the Way You Worship, which he co-wrote with his pastor, Darren Whitehead. The book explains seven ancient Hebrew words used in the Bible for "praise," helping people understand different ways to worship. The album was preceded by the lead single "Resurrection Power," which was released to streaming platform and to Christian radio in January 2018. A ballad Christian worship song, "Resurrection Power" is about freedom, new life, and the power of Jesus' resurrection. The song was a Top 10 hit on Billboard's Hot Christian Songs chart while going Top 5 on the Christian Airplay and Christian AC Airplay charts in June 2018. Later in October 2018, "Resurrection Power" was nominated for a Dove Award for Worship Recorded Song of the Year. A year later, the album was nominated for Worship Album of the Year. Holy Roar: Live From Church is a live album by Christian singer/songwriter/ worship leader Chris Tomlin. It was released on March 15, 2019 by Sparrow Records/Capitol Christian Music Group. With only eight live tracks, it was recorded live at a church in Nashville, Tennessee in front of crowd of 200 worship leaders. It serves as a companion album to Tomlin's studio release Holy Roar, which he released in the fall of 2018. It contains seven live tracks from Holy Roar, plus a special performance by Pat Barrett, who was signed to Tomlin's imprint label Bowyer & Bow, with "Build My Life." Tomlin had announced his Holy Roar Tour, in support of his Holy Roar album, by performing some spring 2019 dates. Holy Roar: Live From Church debuted and peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums and at No. 31 on the Top Album Sales charts.
